anthony david and the unabombers September 16, 2004
![]() In the middle of the week, I usually start checking for music to stock up my radio.blogs. They've become a serious habit. Although my musical vibes change like the weather, it's always fresh to me. Take for instance, Anthony David. Having seen him as an opening act and preparing for one of his concerts coming within the next month, I've been vibing to his album. It's a laid back feel, with a soulful groove. His live performances vibe much the same way as the album does: warm and inviting, yet raw and acoustic throughout. Check out Part of My Life here, or go to Amazon or iTunes to cop the album. And then comes the times where I walk into the rekkasto [Internet Explorer required] and there's a compilation or two or twenty....prolific, I'm sure you understand. While listing a small percentage of them would take forever, I want to touch upon this week's choice, which is Unabombers: Electric Soul 2. It's an electric-soul mix CD from the UK, which go from soul (This Thing), to rap (Kenn Starr, Asheru and Talib Kweli in the track If), and even mixes of songs from old favorites (like Incognito's Out of the Storm, mixed by Carl Craig). Check more samples here, vibe to This Thing by D'Nell, or purchase this album from my MoodsMusic (email me for more info) or from www.tunes.co.uk. (Not available on iTunes or Amazon at this time). *If you're looking for amusement in the here and now, check out Carl Craig's website.

I'ma say once again thanks for hooking me in to Anthony David. I will definitely cop that. And thanks in general for the exposure to all the new sounds ;-) posted by: lis at 13.43I downloaded a friend's Anthony David cd about 2 weeks ago - she was hooked on Georgia Peach...I think that's the name of it...but there was another track that I was really digging. He's cool...but when I REALLY love a cd, I can't stop listening to it for a while, and I'm STILL hooked on Angie, so when I get off my Angie kick, maybe then I can really get into him. posted by: Xquizzyt1 at 09.55Okay - WHAT is RES' CD doing up there!!! That made my little heart flutter when I saw it. *shaking head* As I told you - when I LOVE cds I obsess over them for a while. So 700 Mile Situation and Tsunami were like the only songs I listened to for about a month. LOL...She is just teh bomb. Where has she been??? posted by: Xquizzyt1 at 09.57copyright 2004 ej flavors |
